Scriptwriter for Indie Comedy Web Series

Hey filmmakers, I'm a rigging grip on an upcoming independent web series shooting here in Albuquerque, and we're on the hunt for a talented Scriptwriter to join our team. It's a comedic web series, think mumblecore vibes with a dash of quirky character-driven humor. We're looking to tell relatable stories about everyday struggles with a lighthearted touch. As our Scriptwriter, you'll be responsible for developing episode outlines, writing dialogue, and refining existing scripts for our first season. We've got some core concepts baked, but we're really looking for someone who can bring their unique voice and comedic timing to the table. We're seeking someone with mid-level screenwriting experience, maybe you've written some shorts or a spec script that got some good feedback. Please send over some writing samples, ideally comedy, so we can get a feel for your style. Strong communication and collaboration skills are a must, as you'll be working closely with the director and producers. This is a volunteer position, but we're committed to providing credit on all episodes and will make sure you're fed during any on-set writing sessions or workshops. Shoot dates are TBD but looking at late spring, early summer here in ABQ. Remote work is totally fine for the writing process. Looking forward to seeing your work!
