Entry-Level Screenwriter (Pilot, Sci-Fi)
Hey everyone, Naomi here. I'm posting for an entry-level screenwriter for an exciting sci-fi pilot we're looking to get off the ground. The project is an independent production with a dark, gritty tone, exploring themes of artificial intelligence and human connection in a post-apocalyptic world. Think early Black Mirror meets The Road, but with more synthwave. We've got a strong concept and some great talent attached, just looking for the right voice to help us flesh out the script. Your primary responsibility will be collaborating with the director and creative team to develop the pilot script, from outline to final draft. This includes character development, dialogue writing, and scene construction. We'll be looking for someone who can craft compelling narratives and isn't afraid to dive deep into complex themes. No specific gear required here, just your writing skills and a burning passion for storytelling. As this is an entry-level position, we're really looking for potential and a unique perspective. Please submit a resume and a writing sample, preferably a short screenplay or pilot script, that demonstrates your craft. Compensation for this initial phase will be deferred, a backend percentage, as is common with independent projects like this. We're aiming to start development in the next month or two, with flexible hours. This is a great opportunity to get a credit on a project with serious potential.
