1st AC (First Assistant Camera), Sci-Fi Short

Hey everyone, I'm Chris, a Grip, and I'm currently crewing up for an exciting, independent short film project here in Vancouver, BC. We're shooting a sci-fi drama, imagine a blend of classic Twilight Zone with a visually rich, art-house feel. It's truly a passion project with a unique premise involving a time loop and a desperate scientist. We're looking for a skilled 1st Assistant Camera to join our tight-knit team. Your main responsibilities will include meticulous focus pulling, camera maintenance, and working closely with our cinematographer and camera operator to ensure everything runs smoothly on set. We need someone with mid-level experience in short films or similar independent productions. Please have your own follow focus system and basic camera toolkit. A strong, relevant reel or portfolio showcasing your focus pulling abilities is a must. Our shoot dates are tentatively set for August, likely over 3-4 days, with some potential night shoots. We'll be providing all meals, snacks, and a daily rate, TBD based on experience. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a visually ambitious project and get some cool sci-fi on your reel.
