1st AC (Mumbai) - Documentary Feature

Hey everyone, Rohan here. I'm lensing an independent documentary feature in Mumbai and looking for a talented 1st AC to join our small, dedicated team. It's an intimate character study, exploring the bustling street life and untold stories of Mumbai, with a focus on capturing authentic moments and unguarded emotions. We'll be shooting mostly run-and-gun style, often with available light, so quick thinking and adaptability are key. Your primary responsibilities will include pulling sharp focus, managing camera setup and breakdown, maintaining equipment, and assisting with DIT when needed. I'm looking for someone with at least mid-level experience in documentary or independent narrative work, comfortable operating in dynamic, fast-paced environments. Please have your own follow focus, monitor, and basic tool kit. Experience with Sony FX9/FX6 cameras is a big plus. We anticipate principal photography to be about 4-6 weeks, starting early next quarter, with flexible daily hours depending on locations and interviews.
