1st AC, Sci-Fi Thriller Web Series

Hey everyone, Luc here. I'm operating Steadicam on an upcoming independent web series, and we're looking for a skilled 1st AC to join our camera team. It's a suspenseful sci-fi thriller with a really unique visual style, blending practical effects with subtle CGI. We're aiming for a grittier, more grounded feel than your typical sci-fi. As our 1st AC, you'll be responsible for maintaining focus, pulling focus accurately (obviously!), and ensuring all camera equipment is prepped and organized. We're using cinema cameras, probably an ARRI Alexa Mini, so familiarity with that system is a must. You'll also be instrumental in lens changes, keeping records, and generally being the reliable backbone of the camera department. We're looking for someone with significant experience (5+ years) on independent features or web series, particularly with demanding camera movement. A solid reel showcasing your work, especially with complex focus pulls, would be great. We can't provide camera packages, so you'll need to be proficient with standard cinema camera setups. Shoot dates are tentatively scheduled for late September through October, approximately 10-hour days. We'll provide craft services and meals on set. Compensation will be discussed based on your experience.
