Camera Operator, Feature Film (LA)
Hey everyone, Alex here. I'm a 2nd AC on an independent feature film shooting in Los Angeles and we're looking to bring on a talented Camera Operator. This is a dramatic thriller with some intense action sequences and a really interesting, character-driven story. We're aiming for a grittier, realistic visual style to match the tone. As our Camera Operator, you'll be primarily responsible for operating cameras on set, executing precise movements and shots as directed by the DP. You'll need to be proficient with various camera systems and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Experience with handheld work and Steadicam/gimbal operation is a major plus. We're open to all experience levels, from burgeoning operators looking for a big break to seasoned pros. While we have gear available, if you own your own camera package or support equipment, please mention it in your application, as that could be a benefit. A strong reel showcasing your operating skills is essential. Approximate shoot dates are late August to mid-September, with roughly 10-12 hour days. We provide meals and a positive set atmosphere. Compensation is $150-300 per day, depending on experience and gear. If you're passionate about filmmaking and ready to contribute to an exciting project, please send over your reel and a brief introduction. Looking forward to hearing from you!
