VFX for Pilot

Pilot VFX New Orleans, LA entry Budget: Co-producer credit + backend

Looking for an entry-level VFX Artist for an exciting sci-fi pilot currently in pre-production. This is a gritty, character-driven story with some cool practical effects, but we'll need some solid VFX work to really bring our world to life. Think less grand spectacle and more subtle world-building, adding atmosphere and refining challenging shots. Your primary responsibilities will include helping conceptualize visual effects alongside the director, executing compositing, rotoscoping, and potentially some basic 3D tracking or modeling if you're up for it. We're open to working with someone who wants to grow their skills and isn't afraid to learn on the fly. Key is a good eye for realism and a problem-solving attitude. You should have your own workstation and software (Nuke, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve Fusion, or similar) and be comfortable working remotely for much of the post-production. While this is an entry-level position, please provide a reel or portfolio showcasing your best work even if it's student projects. No "hire off potential" stuff here, show us what you can do. We're aiming to shoot late summer, early fall in New Orleans, LA, with post-production kicking off shortly after. This is a passion project, so compensation is a co-producer credit and backend participation, a true partnership opportunity for someone looking to build their resume and make a real impact on an independent production. Expect flexible hours, largely remote, with some in-person collaboration during filming. We're providing craft services and a great set environment.
