Junior VFX Artist, Feature Film

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Junior VFX Artist for an upcoming independent feature film shooting in Mumbai. This project is a gritty, character-driven drama with a touch of supernatural realism, exploring themes of memory and reality. We need someone who can help us enhance key visual moments without overt stylization, focusing on realism and subtle environmental effects. Your main responsibilities will include rotoscoping, compositing, plate cleaning, and creating minor digital enhancements as needed. We're looking for someone with a strong understanding of foundational VFX principles and proficiency in industry-standard software, preferably Nuke or After Effects. While this is an entry-level position, a demo reel showcasing any relevant work, even student projects, is a must. This is a deferred pay position, common in independent film, meaning compensation will be provided once the film secures distribution. We anticipate a 6-8 week commitment for post-production VFX work, likely starting in early 2025. We'll provide all necessary footage and project files.
