Director, Sci-Fi Pilot

Alright folks, we're gearing up for an exciting sci-fi pilot production here in Los Angeles and I'm looking for a senior Director to take the helm. This isn't your typical space opera; think more introspective, character-driven sci-fi with a touch of surrealism. We've got a fantastic script with some genuinely unique concepts, and we're aiming for a visually striking yet grounded aesthetic. As our Director, you'll be responsible for bringing this vision to life, working closely with the cast and crew, and guiding the overall creative direction from pre-production through principal photography. This includes casting input, shot listing, blocking, and wrangling those performances. You should have a strong directorial voice and a proven track record of delivering compelling narratives. We're looking for someone with significant experience directing narrative content, preferably with some sci-fi under their belt. Please have a solid reel showcasing your past work that clearly demonstrates your directorial capabilities. This is an independent production, so we need someone who can be resourceful and collaborative. Shoot dates are TBD but looking at late summer, early fall, probably a 3-4 day shoot. We'll be providing all necessary camera, lighting, and sound equipment. Compensation is deferred, with a commitment to fair back-end participation once the project is shopped around.
