Director: Alt-Pop Music Video (Chicago)

Hey Chicago filmmakers, I'm a documentary filmmaker looking for a talented Director for an upcoming independent music video project. This shoot is for an established indie alt-pop artist with a really unique sound, and we're aiming for a dreamy, surreal aesthetic. Think vibrant colors, unexpected transitions, and a narrative that's more mood than linear story. We need someone who can translate the artist's vision into striking visuals and lead a small, efficient crew. You'll be responsible for creative concepting alongside the artist, storyboarding, shot listing, and directing talent on set. We're looking for strong visual storytelling ability and experience with music video aesthetics. A solid directing reel demonstrating your visual style and narrative approach is a must. Preference for directors with experience in music or experimental film. Tentative shoot dates are 3-4 days in late July or early August, likely long days but we'll plan for efficiency. We'll provide all necessary equipment, crew (DP, Gaffer, AC, etc.), and location scouting. This is for a paid weekly rate of $2000-3000, depending on experience. Excited to see your work!
