Director, Feature Film (Action/Thriller)

Hey everyone, Jerome Baptiste here. I'm putting together an independent feature film and I'm looking for a Director to bring this vision to life. This project is a gritty, character-driven action thriller set in the underbelly of NYC, think early 2000s crime dramas with a modern edge. It's got some intense fight sequences and car chases, but at its heart, it's about loyalty and survival. We've got a solid script and some early interest from a few distributors. We need a Director who can not only manage the creative direction but also handle the nuts and bolts of a fast-paced action shoot. Your responsibilities will include guiding performances, collaborating closely with the DP and stunt team (that's me!), and maintaining a consistent tone. Experience with action choreography and practical effects is a big plus. You won't need to bring your own gear, as we'll be handling that. We just need your talent and leadership. This is an equity partnership opportunity, so you'll be joining us as a creative owner. We're open to all experience levels, from seasoned indie vets to passionate emerging talent with a strong reel. We're planning to shoot in and around New York City, likely starting late summer or early fall. Specific dates are TBD but expect a 4-6 week principal photography schedule.
