Directing for Music Video

Hey filmmakers, I'm a Costume Designer on an upcoming independent music video project in Sydney and we're looking for a Director. This is for an indie pop track with a dreamy, ethereal vibe - think pastel colors, slow motion, and a bit of playful surrealism. We're aiming for something visually compelling despite a tight budget. Your role would be to develop the visual concept with the artist and producer, lead the crew on set, and oversee the creative execution. We need someone who can translate a song's feeling onto the screen, even if you’re just starting out. You’ll need to bring your own creative vision, and a solid understanding of how to achieve high production value without a huge budget (think DIY filmmaking genius!). Please provide a reel or examples of your previous directing work, even if it's student films or passion projects. Shoot dates are tentatively set for two days in late July, likely 10-12 hour days. We'll provide a core crew (including myself for costumes, of course!), locations, and basic catering. Compensation is $250 flat per day.
