Production Designer, Indie Feature Film

Hey everyone, we're looking for a talented Production Designer for an upcoming independent feature film shooting in Toronto. This is a gritty, character-driven drama set in the city's underground music scene, with a dark, atmospheric tone. We need someone who can help us create a distinct visual world on a lean budget, really bringing out the vibe of these unique locations. Your main responsibilities will include working closely with the Director to develop the film's aesthetic, overseeing set dressing and props, and managing a small art department team. We're looking for someone with entry-level experience, maybe you've art directed some shorts or worked as an assistant on features. A strong portfolio or reel showing your design sensibility is a must. We're shooting for roughly 15 days in late June/early July, but exact dates are still being finalized. It'll be 10-12 hour days. We'll provide some basic art department tools and materials, but having your own kit will be a big plus. Compensation is $100-200/day, depending on experience. This is a great opportunity to make a significant impact on a passionate project.
