Senior Production Designer, Pilot Project

Hey filmmakers! We're looking for a talented Senior Production Designer for an upcoming independent pilot project shooting in New Orleans. This is a dramatic thriller pilot, a bit dark and gritty, with a strong focus on character and atmosphere. We need someone who can translate our vision for each location into reality, helping to build out distinct and compelling environments that really sell the story. Your main responsibilities will include developing set designs (both practical and conceptual), overseeing prop acquisition and set dressing, and working closely with the director and DP to ensure the visual aesthetic is cohesive. Since this is a senior role, we're looking for someone with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work on similar narrative projects. Experience designing for smaller, independent productions is a plus, as is familiarity with working within tight budgets. The shoot dates are estimated for early to mid-September, roughly 8-10 hour days, for about 5-7 days of principal photography. We'll provide some essential tools and a budget for materials, but any specific personal gear or workshop space you have would be great to know about.
