Production Designer, Sci-Fi Short (Paid)

Hey everyone, Victor here (Key Grip on a few things you might've seen). We're looking for a talented Production Designer for an upcoming independent sci-fi short film. It's a suspenseful, character-driven story with a cool conceptual twist, think Black Mirror meets Primer, minimalist but impactful. We need someone mid-level, creatively strong, who can really elevate the visual world of this piece. Your primary responsibility will be collaborating with the director and DP to develop the overall aesthetic, designing and dressing our few key locations, and managing a small art department budget. We're looking for someone specifically with experience in sci-fi or genre projects, who can create a distinctive look with practical, elegant solutions. Please have a strong portfolio or reel showcasing your design sensibilities. Shoot dates are approximately 4-5 days in late July, early August, with some prep days beforehand. Days will be 10-12 hours. We're providing locations, transportation to set, and meals. Compensation is $200-400/day, depending on experience and prep needs. Looking forward to seeing your work!
