Gaffer (Senior) for Sci-Fi Web Series

Hey everyone, Derek here. We're on the hunt for a seasoned Gaffer for an upcoming independent web series shooting right here in LA. It's a really cool sci-fi thriller, think 'Black Mirror' meets 'Mr. Robot' with a distinct neo-noir vibe. We've got some challenging but rewarding lighting setups planned to truly nail that atmospheric look. We need someone who can lead a small lighting team, interpret the DP's vision, execute complex lighting plots, and manage our grip and electric gear efficiently. You'll be responsible for all lighting decisions on set, ensuring safety and quality from pre-production through wrap. Must have extensive experience gaffing narrative content, specifically with a strong reel demonstrating your expertise in dynamic and theatrical lighting. Experience with LED technology and familiarity with various fixture types is a must. We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running, bringing their own toolkit of essential small lighting accessories would be a huge plus, but we'll provide the main package and larger equipment. Shoot dates are TBD but looking at a 3-4 week block in late summer early fall, 10-12 hour days. Compensation will be industry standard, dependent on experience. Let's make something awesome!
