Cinematography for Short Film

Hey team, my name is Camille and I'm a Production Designer gearing up for an exciting independent drama short with sci-fi elements. We're looking for a seasoned Gaffer to help us bring our vision to life. The film explores themes of memory and artificial intelligence, with a slightly melancholic yet visually rich tone. You'll be responsible for designing and executing the lighting plan in collaboration with the DP, managing the grip and electric crew, and ensuring top-notch lighting quality throughout the shoot. We're looking for someone with significant on-set experience (5+ years preferred) on independent film projects, a solid understanding of various lighting techniques, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced set. Please have your own basic G&E kit (though additional specialized gear will be rented). A strong reel showcasing your lighting expertise is essential. We anticipate shooting for 4-5 days late July, early August (exact dates TBD), typically 10-12 hour days. This is a volunteer position, but we'll provide delicious meals, craft services, and a copy of the final film for your reel.
