Editing for Music Video

Hey everyone, Ricky here (your friendly neighborhood playback op). I'm putting together an independent production for an exciting new music video project and am on the hunt for a talented editor. This shoot is for a high-energy pop track with a psychedelic, playful vibe. Think vibrant colors, quick cuts, and a lot of creative freedom to really push the boundaries. It's a fantastic opportunity to build your reel with something truly unique. Your main responsibilities will include assembling the initial cut, incorporating feedback, color grading (or overseeing it), and delivering final versions for various platforms. We're looking for someone who's proficient in industry-standard editing software (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.). While all experience levels are welcome, a strong reel demonstrating your eye for rhythm and visual storytelling is a must. Bring your own workstation and software. The shoot is tentatively scheduled for late July, so we'd ideally like to start editing shortly after. We anticipate a total of 4-6 shoot days. This is a passion project, so compensation will be a backend percentage, meaning your profit grows with ours once the video is monetized. We're a small, dedicated team and are really excited to find someone who can bring their creative vision to this project. Let's make something awesome together!
