Editor, Sci-Fi Thriller Short

Hey everyone, I'm a DIT currently bringing an ambitious sci-fi thriller short film to life and I'm looking for a talented editor to join our team. This is a suspenseful project with a unique visual style, blending psychological tension with classic sci-fi elements. We've got some really interesting footage and a strong story that I'm excited to see come together. As our editor, you'll be responsible for assembling the rough cut, refining the pacing, and working closely with me to achieve the desired tone. You'll also handle sound design basics, implement visual effects where needed, and prepare the final deliverables. This is an entry level role, so if you're a passionate storyteller with a sharp eye for detail, I encourage you to apply. You should have your own editing software and a reel showcasing your best work is essential. Familiarity with sci-fi genre conventions is a bonus. While specific dates are flexible, we're aiming for principal photography to wrap by late March. We expect around 60-80 hours of editing, mostly remote, though we can arrange occasional sessions at a facility in LA if needed.
