Gaffer for Indie Feature Film, Atlanta

Independent feature film shooting in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Gaffer. This is a character-driven thriller, gritty and intimate, with some really cool visual opportunities despite our indie budget. We're looking for someone creative who can help us achieve a specific moody aesthetic while working efficiently. As Gaffer, you'll be responsible for executing the lighting plan, managing the electric team, and ensuring all electrical safety protocols are met. You'll work closely with the Cinematographer to bring their vision to life. This is a fantastic chance to make a significant impact on an upcoming project with a passionate crew. We need someone with experience in independent film, comfortable with a fast-paced environment and problem-solving on the fly. Please have your own basic kit available (meters, communication, etc.). A solid reel demonstrating your lighting skills is a must. We expect to shoot for approximately 15-20 days, mostly 10-12 hour days. Exact dates are TBD but looking at late summer/early fall. Lunch and craft services will be provided daily. Compensation is $150-300 per day, negotiable based on experience. Let's make something great together!
