1st AC, Independent Pilot

Hey everyone, Claire here. I'm helping a fantastic independent production find a skilled 1st Assistant Camera for an upcoming pilot shoot in NYC. This is a thrilling, character-driven drama, with a sharp, contemporary tone. It's an intimate story, and we're aiming for a polished, cinematic look on a lean budget. We need someone who can keep our camera department running smoothly. Key responsibilities include pulling focus accurately, managing camera builds and breakdowns, and ensuring all camera equipment is well-maintained and accounted for. We're looking for someone with a strong understanding of various camera systems, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. Experience on narrative projects is a plus, but we're open to all experience levels if you've got a great attitude and the skills to back it up. Please have your own follow focus system and basic tool kit. Shoot dates are TBD but looking at early autumn, likely 3-4 days. We'll provide lunch and snacks, and transportation help if needed within NYC. Compensation is negotiable, we want to make sure it works for everyone.
