Gaffer for Sci-Fi Web Series, Albuquerque

Looking for a skilled Gaffer to join our independent sci-fi web series based in Albuquerque. This project is a visually ambitious, character-driven story with a dark, atmospheric tone, blending practical effects with nuanced performances. We're aiming for a cinematic feel on a web series budget, so creative lighting solutions are key. You'll be responsible for designing and executing the lighting plans, managing the grip and electric crew, and ensuring we achieve the desired look with precision. Experience with various lighting equipment, including LED, HMI, and tungsten, is essential. Familiarity with DMX control systems is a plus. Please be prepared to provide a portfolio or reel showcasing your lighting work. Shoot dates are approximately late July to early August, 2024, generally 10-12 hour days. We'll provide all necessary grip and lighting gear, along with meals and craft services. This is a great opportunity to contribute significantly to an exciting project. We're open to all experience levels, but a strong work ethic and collaborative attitude are must-haves. Pay is $1000-1500 per day, depending on experience.
