Editor, Music Video - San Francisco

Hey filmmakers, my name is Yuki Tanaka and I'm a VFX Artist leading an independent production. We're looking for a talented Editor for an upcoming music video project in San Francisco. This is for an indie rock artist, with a vibe that's a mix of surreal dreamscapes and gritty urban scenes. We've got some really interesting visual effects planned, so someone with an eye for blending practical and digital elements will stand out. Your main responsibilities will include ingesting footage, assembling cuts, incorporating VFX plates, color grading (basic correction is fine, we have a separate specialist for final), and delivering final masters in various formats. We need someone who can work efficiently and communicate creative ideas. Ideally, you'll have your own editing suite with industry-standard software (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar). Please be prepared to share your reel demonstrating your music video or narrative editing experience. Experience with motion graphics integration is a huge plus. Shoot dates are set for early July, so post-production would likely begin mid-July. We're looking at about 3-5 days of work, typically 8-10 hour days. We'll provide all raw footage, music tracks, and VFX elements. Compensation is $500-800 per day, dependent on experience.
