Post-Production for Pilot

Hey filmmakers, I'm James, a sound designer, looking for an Assistant Editor for an upcoming independent production. This is a sci-fi pilot, a proof-of-concept for a feature, with a gritty, suspenseful tone and some cool practical effects. We've got compelling characters and a tight script that I think will really stand out. As our Assistant Editor, you'll be handling dailies, syncing audio, organizing footage, and helping me and the Lead Editor prepare cuts for review. You'll be crucial in keeping our post-production workflow smooth and effective. Ideal candidates will have basic knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, a decent understanding of file management best practices, and a keen eye for detail. This is an entry-level position, so a strong portfolio isn't strictly necessary, but please share any relevant work you have, even if it's student films or personal projects. We're aiming for principal photography in late summer, so post-production would likely begin in September, running for about 4-6 weeks, part-time. Flexibility is key since this is a pilot. We'll be working mostly remotely, but if you're in Austin, we could potentially meet up sometimes. Compensation TBD, based on your experience. Looking forward to hearing from you!
