Senior Editor, Music Video

Music Video Post-Production Chicago, IL senior Budget: $1000-1500/day

Hey everyone, Drew here. I'm looking for a senior editor for an upcoming independent music video project. We're working with a well-known indie artist on a single that’s a real blend of experimental synth-pop and evocative visuals, think something like a dark, moody Purity Ring meets FKA Twigs. We've got some really unique footage shot on anamorphic lenses, lots of abstract imagery mixed with performance. It's a visually driven piece, so your creative instincts and storytelling with picture are key. Your main responsibilities will include ingesting and organizing footage, assembling rough and fine cuts, collaborating closely with the director and artist on revisions, and preparing the final edit for color and sound. We'll be cutting in Adobe Premiere Pro so familiarity with that is a must. Really looking for someone who can elevate the existing material and bring their own voice to it. We need to see a solid reel showcasing your music video or even short-form narrative work, specifically pieces with a strong visual style. This is a senior-level position based in Chicago, paying $1000-1500 per day, depending on experience. We're estimating about two to three weeks of work, starting early next month. Schedule will typically be 10-hour days. We'll provide the editing suite and all necessary equipment. Hit me up with your reel and a brief note about why this project speaks to you.
