Senior Production Designer, Doc Feature (Revenue Share)

Hey filmmakers, I'm cutting a compelling feature documentary about urban renewal initiatives in South LA and we're on the hunt for a senior Production Designer. This isn't your typical talking-heads doc; we're using stylized verité and re-enactments to create visual metaphors and establish tone. Think evocative, almost cinematic, even though it's documentary. We need someone to lead the artistic vision for our sets, locations, and props, ensuring everything aligns with our aesthetic and narrative goals. You'll be conceptualizing design elements, sourcing materials, and managing a small art department crew. We're looking for someone with significant documentary or narrative experience, a strong portfolio showcasing your eye for detail and ability to work creatively within budgetary constraints. This is a truly independent production, so we’re structuring compensation as a partnership, offering a substantial revenue share in exchange for your expertise.
