Art Asst for Sci-fi Pilot, Independent Production

Hey filmmakers, I'm a SFX Makeup Artist staffing up for an independent sci-fi pilot shooting soon in Los Angeles. We're looking for an Art Assistant to join our fun and dedicated art department. This project has a cool, slightly eerie, retro-futuristic vibe, think early 80s sci-fi indie. It's a passion project with a great script and a really collaborative crew shaping up. Your main responsibilities will include assisting the Production Designer and Art Director with set dressing, prop sourcing, fabrication, and general art department support. This is a chance to get hands-on and contribute creatively to the visual world of the show. We welcome all experience levels, from eager beginners to seasoned pros who enjoy getting back to indie roots. No specific gear is required, just a good attitude and willingness to jump in. If you have a portfolio or some examples of your work, please share them but it's not a deal-breaker if you're just starting out. Shoot dates are approximately 5-7 days in late July or early August, exact schedule TBD, but expect 10-12 hour days. We'll provide craft services, lunch, and a great on-set atmosphere. This is a paid position, $250/day flat. Looking forward to hearing from you!
