Art Department for Short Film

Hey everyone, David here. I'm currently editing an exciting independent sci-fi short film and we're looking for a talented Art Director to join our team. This is a visually driven project, a psychological thriller with a unique, minimalist aesthetic, think early Black Mirror meets some of the more atmospheric A24 films. We need someone who can help us define and execute the visual style from concept to completion, bringing a fresh perspective to our world-building. Your responsibilities will include collaborating closely with the Director and DP to develop the overall creating concept art and mood boards, sourcing set dressing and props, and overseeing the art department on set. We're looking for someone with around 3-5 years of experience in art direction for film, especially short form, and a strong portfolio demonstrating your creative vision and practical skills. While we're providing core items, a willingness to utilize personal contacts for unique finds is a plus. Shoot dates are approximately late July to early August, about 10-12 hours per day.
