Directing for Pilot
Hey filmmakers! I'm Nina, a screenwriter, and I'm looking for an entry-level director for an exciting sci-fi pilot. This project is a mind-bending thriller, think Black Mirror meets Arrival, with a strong focus on character psychology and eerie visuals. It’s a compelling look at artificial intelligence and human connection, and I’m really proud of the script. We need someone who can translate complex themes into engaging storytelling, someone with a clear vision and a passion for sci-fi. Your main responsibilities will include leading the creative vision, working closely with the crew to execute dynamic shots, and directing actors in Brooklyn locations. We're looking for someone who understands visual storytelling in the sci-fi genre, can make strong creative decisions, and knows how to work efficiently on an independent production. While we'll be providing camera and lighting, bringing your own ideas for gear or techniques is a huge plus. Please have a reel demonstrating your directorial style, even if it's student work or short film clips. We anticipate shooting over 2-3 days in late May or early June, with 8-10 hour days. We'll handle craft services and transportation for equipment. This is a great opportunity to get some paid directing experience on a cool project. Excited to see your work!
