Director, Music Video (Entry-Level)

Looking for a passionate, up-and-coming Director for an exciting music video project in NYC. This is for an independent pop artist, high energy with a vibrant, slightly surreal aesthetic. We're aiming for something visually striking and narrative-driven without being overly literal. Think bold colors and dynamic camera work to capture the song's infectious vibe. Your main responsibilities will include creative direction, working closely with the artist and DP to develop the visual concept, leading on set, and guiding post-production. We’re really keen on someone who can bring fresh ideas and a strong artistic vision. Must have a reel showcasing previous directing work, even if it's student films or short-form content. Experience with music videos is a plus but not strictly required for the right candidate. You should be familiar with typical music video workflows. We're not expecting you to bring gear, we'll have a camera package and lighting in place. Shoot dates are tentatively scheduled for late July early August, spanning 2-3 full days. Expect long but rewarding days on set. Payment is $150-300 per day, depending on experience. Craft services and transportation reimbursement will be provided on shoot days.
