Director, Dark Sci-Fi Feature Film

Seeking an experienced Director for an independent production, an upcoming feature film shooting in Chicago. This is a dark, character-driven sci-fi thriller with a grounded, atmospheric tone, think 'Arrival' meets 'Ex Machina.' We're looking for someone who can craft compelling performances and a visually striking narrative while maintaining a tight production schedule. Key responsibilities include leading the creative vision, collaborating with department heads, guiding actors, and ensuring the film stays true to its core themes. You'll be working closely with a dedicated crew to bring this unique story to life. Candidates must have significant directing experience on features or multiple high-quality short films, a strong portfolio demonstrating dramatic storytelling, and a clear artistic vision.
