Entry-Level Production Designer for Commercial Spot

Hey filmmakers, DeShawn here, Best Boy Grip on an upcoming commercial shoot in New Orleans. We're looking for an entry-level Production Designer to join our team for a fun, fast-paced commercial spot. It's for a local restaurant, aiming for a vibrant, slightly quirky, and inviting atmosphere. We want to capture that authentic NOLA vibe with a fresh, modern twist. Your main responsibilities would include translating the director's vision into practical set dressings and props, sourcing materials within a given budget, and managing the overall aesthetic of the set. You'll be working closely with our art department to bring the concept to life. Think creative problem-solving and a good eye for detail. While this is an entry-level position, some experience in set dressing or art department assistance is a plus. A portfolio or a few photos of previous work, even student projects, would be great to see. You don't need to bring your own specialized gear, we'll provide what's needed. We're looking at shoot dates around mid-July, likely 3-4 days including prep, with standard 10-12 hour days. We provide crafty, lunch, and a great crew environment.
