Art Department for Short Film

Hey film fam, we're gearing up for an exciting short film shoot in New Orleans and looking for an Art Assistant to join our team. This is a volunteer position, perfect for someone looking to get hands-on experience in the art department. The film is a dramatic thriller with surrealist elements, exploring themes of memory and identity. It's a visually driven piece, so the art department will be crucial in building out our unique world. As an Art Assistant with a focus on set decoration, you'll be helping source, organize, and place props, furniture, and other on-set elements. You'll work closely with the Art Director and our Art Department Coordinator to ensure the sets align with the creative vision. No prior experience is strictly needed, just a strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, and a willingness to jump in and learn. We're open to all experience levels, from students to seasoned pros looking to contribute to a cool indie project. Your own transportation around New Orleans is a plus, but not essential. We'll be shooting approximately 3-4 days in late July/early August, exact dates TBD. Meals and credit will be provided, of course. Let's make some movie magic!
