Camera for Feature Film

Our upcoming indie feature, a gritty psychological thriller set in post-Katrina New Orleans, is looking for a skilled 1st Assistant Camera. This isn't your typical horror flick; it's a slow burn exploring themes of isolation and haunting memories with a grounded, realistic tone. We need someone who can maintain impeccable focus, manage camera movement, and assist in crafting the film's evocative visual style alongside our DP. Key responsibilities include pulling focus, managing camera equipment (lenses, filters, batteries), maintaining camera reports, and collaborating closely with the cinematographer. You'll need to provide your own camera kit (follow focus, matte box, monitor), but we're shooting on a rented professional cinema camera package. We’re seeking someone with extensive feature film experience, a meticulous eye, and a strong work ethic. Please submit your reel and a list of gear you can provide. Shoot dates are tentatively scheduled for October 2024, for approximately 25-30 days, 10-12 hour days. Deferred compensation includes a percentage of points on the back end plus a deferred day rate, paid upon financing or distribution.
