Camera Operator, Nashville Doc

Hey Nashville film folks, I'm Autumn Harrell, a Music Supervisor looking for a talented Camera Operator for an upcoming independent documentary project. We're shooting a character-driven doc in the Nashville area that explores the underground music scene, focusing on a few unique artists and their struggles and triumphs. It's an intimate, observational style, gritty and real, with a lot of on-the-fly work. I'm excited about the stories we're uncovering and think it's going to be a really compelling film. Your main responsibilities will be operating the primary camera, setting up shots, and working closely with our small crew to capture authentic moments. We need someone who is adaptable, has a good eye for composition in natural light, and can handle various documentary shooting scenarios, from interviews to live performances. We're open to all experience levels, but you absolutely need to bring your own professional camera package (preferably something like a Blackmagic Pocket or Sony FX-series, with a basic lens kit and support) and have a reel demonstrating your documentary or vérité style work. Shoot dates are approximately 4-5 weeks, likely starting late summer/early fall, with typical 10-12 hour days. We'll handle craft services, production insurance, and any necessary location permits.
