Cinematography for Music Video

We're shooting a high-energy, narrative-driven music video for an indie hip-hop artist, leaning into a gritty, urban aesthetic with a touch of surrealism. We need a skilled Camera Operator to help bring our vision to life. This is an independent production with a small, dedicated crew, offering a great opportunity to contribute creatively. Your main responsibility will be operating our primary camera package, executing planned shots, and collaborating closely with the DP. We're looking for someone with a strong eye for composition, excellent technical proficiency, and the ability to work efficiently on a fast-paced set. You'll need to have your own camera kit, preferably a cinema-grade camera (e.g., Blackmagic, Red, or similar) with a standard set of lenses and support gear. Please include a link to your reel showcasing your operating skills. Shoot dates are tentatively scheduled for a 1-2 day period in late August 2026, primarily in and around Chicago. Exact dates will be confirmed soon. Expect 10-12 hour days. We're offering deferred payment, which will be paid out once the artist's first royalty checks come in. Meals, craft services, and some local travel expenses will be covered during the shoot days. This is a chance to be part of an exciting project that we believe will get significant traction.
