Commercial Screenwriter (Pro-Bono) Brooklyn/Remote

Seeking a talented mid-level screenwriter for an independent commercial project. This isn't your typical ad, we're developing a short, impactful narrative film (approx. 3-5 minutes) with a dark comedic tone for a new beverage brand. Think surreal, slightly absurd, and visually driven storytelling that challenges conventional advertising. This is a chance to build a unique portfolio piece. Your responsibilities will include developing the core concept into a full script, including dialogue, scene descriptions, and a clear story arc. We'll work collaboratively through outlines and drafts. We're looking for someone who can craft sharp, concise writing with a strong voice. Requirements include 3+ years of screenwriting experience, ideally with commercial or short film credits. Please provide a link to your portfolio or relevant writing samples. Experience writing for comedic or genre projects is a plus. While this is a volunteer position, you'll receive full credit on the final production and meals will be provided during in-person meetings or shoot days. We're aiming for a script completion within 4-6 weeks, with flexible work hours. This is a great opportunity to get a quirky piece in your reel.
