Directing for Documentary

We need an imaginative director to lead our upcoming independent documentary project in Prague. This film explores the vibrant, underground Czech electronic music scene, focusing on its history, iconic venues, and the passionate community behind it. We're looking for someone who can translate raw, energetic atmosphere and intimate interviews into a compelling visual narrative. Your main responsibilities will include developing the visual style, guiding performances and interviews, and overseeing the creative direction from pre-production through post. We expect a strong creative voice and the ability to work collaboratively within a small team. You should have some directing experience, ideally with documentary or music-related content, and a reel showcasing your previous work is essential. Familiarity with Prague is a plus but not required. We will provide all necessary camera, sound, and lighting gear. Shoot dates are flexible, likely spanning 10-15 days over a 3-4 week period, starting late spring or early summer. Hours will be typical production days, 10-12 hours, with some potential for night shoots at venues. Compensation is 100-200 USD per day, depending on experience and role on previous projects.
