Directing for Pilot

New Orleans, LA for a pilot shoot, aiming for late September or early October 2026. We're looking for a Director for an independent production, a 25-minute sci-fi pilot with a psychological thriller edge. Think "Black Mirror" meets "The Twilight Zone" in terms of tone and narrative ambition. The story follows a young woman grappling with increasingly bizarre glitches in her everyday reality. It's a character-driven piece, relying on strong visual storytelling to build suspense and unease. We need someone who can bring a distinct vision to a contained environment, balancing tension with emotional depth. Key responsibilities include collaborating closely with the screenwriter and DP, leading the cast and crew on set, and guiding the post-production process. We're open to all experience levels, from emerging talent to seasoned pros. What's most important is a strong reel or portfolio demonstrating your ability to evoke mood and craft compelling narratives. This is a 3-4 day shoot, likely long days, but we'll provide meals and a supportive set environment. Compensation is TBD (DOE) and we're looking to start prep conversations soon.
