Directing for Web Series

Seeking a Senior Director for a character-driven action web series, offering deferred compensation via backend percentage. This independent production focuses on gritty, grounded martial arts and parkour stunts, set against a neo-noir L.A. backdrop. We need a visionary director who can elevate complex action sequences with strong narrative storytelling. Key responsibilities include collaborating with the stunt team, guiding cast performances, and translating scripts into dynamic visual storytelling across multiple episodes. You'll be overseeing pre-production, principal photography, and providing creative input through post-production. We're looking for someone with extensive directing experience, specifically in action or genre-driven content. You'll need a strong reel demonstrating your ability to direct nuanced performances and impactful action. While we provide basic camera and lighting packages, directors with access to or familiarity with specialized gear for dynamic movement (e.g., gimbal systems, drone experience) are a plus. Shoot dates are tentatively planned for the first half of October 2026, with an estimated 3-4 weeks of principal photography. Hours will be typical production days, varying based on location and scene requirements. Pre-production will commence immediately.
