Director, Brooklyn Music Video

A surreal, atmospheric music video concept needs a senior director to bring it to life for an independent R&B artist. We're looking for someone who can craft compelling visual narratives with a dreamlike, slightly melancholic tone. This isn't just about performance, but about building a world around the song. You'll be responsible for creative visualization, working closely with the artist to develop the final treatment, leading the crew on set, and overseeing the edit to ensure the vision is maintained. We need a director with a strong visual style and experience working in music videos, particularly with abstract concepts. You should have a proven track record (please share your reel) and be comfortable leading a small, dedicated crew. This is a hands-on project, requiring someone adept at maximizing resources for a high-quality outcome. Our shoot is planned for late September 2026, over 1-2 full days in Brooklyn. We'll handle core crew and location scouting, but welcome your input. Compensation is points-based with a deferred payment structure, common for independent projects of this scale.
