Director, Gritty Action-Drama Pilot

When a retired stuntman discovers a human trafficking ring, he’s forced back into a world of violence to save his estranged daughter. We’re seeking an entry-level Director for a dramatic, character-driven pilot with significant action sequences and a raw, gritty tone. This independent production offers a fantastic opportunity for a director looking to make their mark. You'll be responsible for creative vision, guiding performances, and collaborating closely with our small crew to bring this story to life. Key responsibilities include shot listing, scene blocking, and ensuring a cohesive narrative flow. We're looking for someone with a strong visual storytelling sense, particularly in action. Experience directing short films, music videos, or similar projects is a must. Please provide a directing reel or portfolio demonstrating your aesthetic and capabilities. This is a 1-2 day shoot, tentatively scheduled for October 2026 in New York City. Exact dates are TBD based on availability. We’ll provide locations, catering, and a dedicated crew.
