Director: Sci-Fi Action Web Series (Entry Level)

Looking for an energetic, creative Director for an upcoming sci-fi action web series, an independent production. We're planning 3-5 episodes, each around 10-15 minutes, with a focus on punchy storytelling and dynamic action sequences. The tone is gritty and suspenseful, think a blend of early Terminator and a dash of Firefly. Our goal is to craft a visually engaging series that truly shines despite a grassroots budget. This is a fantastic opportunity for an emerging director to gain significant experience and build their reel on a project with a lot of potential. You'll be responsible for bringing our script to life, working closely with the cast and crew to achieve our creative vision. This includes shot listing, blocking, guiding performances, and overseeing the artistic aspects of the production. You should have a strong directorial vision, excellent communication skills, and ideally some experience directing narrative content, even if it's short films or student work. Please have a directing reel or portfolio available. While we'll be providing all necessary camera and lighting equipment, having access to your own personal gear, especially for specific creative shots, is a bonus. We anticipate shooting over 4-6 weekends in late Fall, exact dates TBD. This is a deferred compensation position, with points on the backend. Come help us make something awesome!
