Director: Sci-Fi Urban Fantasy Pilot

Seeking a talented and passionate Director for an upcoming independent pilot. This project is a gritty sci-fi urban fantasy, think early Black Mirror meets The Matrix with a grounded, character-driven tone. We're looking for someone who can bring a unique visual style and strong storytelling instincts to a world where ancient magic clashes with futuristic tech in modern-day Brooklyn. Key responsibilities include collaborating closely with the DP to establish the visual language, guiding actor performances, and overseeing the creative vision from pre-production through post. We need someone who is confident, communicative, and ready to champion this story. While we don't require specific gear, preference will be given to directors who can recommend efficient workflows and creative solutions within an independent budget. Please have a strong reel demonstrating your directorial style and ability to craft compelling narratives. Experience with genre material is a plus, but not essential. We value fresh perspectives and unique voices. Shoot dates are approximately 4-5 days late July/early August, with flexible pre-production meetings. We'll provide a small crew, basic production insurance, and a collaborative environment. Compensation is TBD, depending on experience.
