Editing for Web Series

Looking for a talented editor to join our team for an independent web series, a fun horror-comedy with a unique blend of scares and laughs. This project is a passion piece with a lot of creative freedom, promising a reel-worthy final product. We're aiming for a release on a popular streaming platform, so great potential for exposure. Key responsibilities include assembling raw footage, creating dynamic cuts, refining pacing, incorporating sound design elements (we have a Sound Editor on board already!), and collaborating closely with the director to achieve the desired tone. We'll be shooting in Toronto, with dates flexible but primarily looking at late summer/early fall. You'll largely be working remotely, though in-person meetings can be arranged as needed. No specific gear is required on your end, just a reliable editing workstation and your preferred software (Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve preferred). While experience is a plus, we're open to all levels, especially those with a strong sense of storytelling and a keen eye for detail. Please include a link to your reel or sample work showcasing your editing style. Compensation is deferred, with an agreement for backend participation upon acquisition or monetization.
