Editor, Sci-Fi Short Film

We're looking for a skilled Editor for an upcoming independent sci-fi short film. This project is a tense, character-driven thriller, set in a near-future dystopia, exploring themes of surveillance and personal freedom. It's a challenging story with a lot of emotional depth, and we need someone who can really craft that narrative. Your main responsibilities will include assembling raw footage, creating a compelling narrative flow, sound design, and color grading. We'll be working closely to find the final cut, so strong communication is key. You'll need experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, and preferably some knowledge of DaVinci Resolve. Please have a strong reel showcasing your narrative editing work, especially on films with a dramatic or suspenseful tone. This is a mid-level position, so we’re looking for someone who has a few short films or similar projects under their belt. Shoot dates are approximately late June, and we anticipate post-production will require about 4-6 weeks of dedicated work, primarily remote with some in-person sessions in Los Angeles. We'll provide all necessary footage and assets. Compensation is points on the backend plus a deferred payment at distribution.
