Entry Colorist, Feature Documentary

Documentary Color Grading Los Angeles, CA entry Budget: Meals + copy

Hey filmmakers, I'm Terrence, a DIT working on an exciting upcoming feature documentary and we're looking for an entry-level colorist to join our team. This film explores the underground world of competitive urban exploration, focusing on the personalities and daring feats involved. It's got a gritty, intimate feel, often shot in low light, so it really needs someone with a good eye to bring out the textures and atmosphere. It's a truly compelling story with some incredible footage. Your main responsibilities will involve conforming footage, primary and secondary color correction, and ensuring creative continuity across various scenes, likely with DaVinci Resolve. We'd love to see a reel or some examples of your work, even if it's just student projects. We're not expecting an expert, but someone with a passion for color and a willingness to learn on a real project. We anticipate needing about 20-30 hours a week for a few months, and we're fairly flexible on scheduling. You'll need access to your own grading system and software. We can provide all the necessary media and a comfortable workspace in Los Angeles. This is a volunteer position, but we'll definitely cover meals and you'll get a copy of the final film for your reel. Great opportunity for someone looking to get their first feature credit.
