Entry-Level Sound Designer, Documentary
Hey everyone, I'm cutting an independent documentary in Los Angeles and I'm looking for an entry-level Sound Designer to join the team. This is a powerful, character-driven doc exploring themes of resilience and overcoming adversity, with a generally hopeful but at times intense tone. We've got some great footage and we really want the sound to elevate the storytelling. Your main tasks will include soundscape creation, foley work, dialogue cleanup, and some basic mixing. I'm looking for someone with a good ear, attention to detail, and a passion for documentary film. You'll need to have your own sound design software (Pro Tools, Logic, etc.) and a reliable workstation. Please have a reel or examples of your sound work ready to share. We're looking at about 3-4 weeks of work, starting early next month, mostly M-F during regular business hours, but we can be flexible. This is a flat rate of $250/day. We'll provide all necessary source audio, project files, and a comfortable working environment from my home studio in Mid-City. This is a great opportunity to get some significant experience on a compelling project. Looking forward to hearing from you!
