Production Design for Feature Film

Hey everyone, Megan here (your friendly neighborhood Script Supervisor!). We're gearing up for an exciting independent feature film, a suspenseful drama with a strong psychological element. Think 'Rear Window' meets 'Parasite' with a unique visual language we're really keen to develop. We're on the hunt for a talented and experienced Production Designer to bring our vision to life. As our Production Designer, you'll be instrumental in shaping the film's aesthetic. This includes developing concept art, sourcing and dressing locations, managing set decoration, and collaborating closely with the director and cinematography team to establish the overall look and feel. We're looking for someone with a strong portfolio showcasing their ability to create immersive and character-driven environments, particularly for features. Your creative input will be invaluable. This is a passion project, so we're operating on a volunteer basis, but we promise a truly collaborative and creatively fulfilling experience for the right person. We're aiming to shoot late summer to early fall this year (specific dates TBD, but we're flexible early on). While we can't offer monetary compensation, we will provide a credit commensurate with your extensive contribution, meals on set, and an incredible opportunity to shape a compelling story. We're also open to discussing materials budgets, logistics, and any specific tools or resources you might need.
