Production for Pilot

We are seeking a senior Gaffer for an upcoming independent production, a proof-of-concept pilot for a sci-fi drama. Think grounded sci-fi, with a visually rich, atmospheric tone, blending practical effects with subtle CGI. This is a chance to help shape the look of an exciting new series concept. As our Gaffer, you’ll be responsible for all lighting aspects, including designing lighting setups, managing the electrics team, and ensuring all lighting is safe and effective. You’ll be working closely with our DP to translate their vision onto the screen. We’re looking for someone with significant experience (5+ years) on narrative sets, particularly those with a focus on stylized visuals. A strong understanding of various lighting techniques, equipment, and efficient crew management is essential. Please provide a link to your reel showcasing relevant narrative work. Shoot dates are approximately 5 days in late June, with 10-12 hour days. We'll be providing all necessary lighting equipment and a power distributor. Your day rate is $250 flat.
